Janay Lindsey
Intern/Graduate Student
Bio:
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Following completion of my undergraduate studies, I gained clinical experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing behavioral and emotional support services across diverse client populations.
I am currently completing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University and anticipate graduating in August 2026. As part of my graduate training, I am completing my clinical internship 2 through Enduring Care Counseling Services.
Clinical Approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the development of a strong therapeutic alliance. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions to support clients in identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
I provide counseling services to individuals ages 11 and older and have experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety-related concerns, stress management difficulties, grief and loss, and depressive symptoms.
Supervised Practice
As part of the standard training requirements for completion of my graduate degree, all counseling services are provided under the supervision of:
Ebony Brooks, LCMHC-QS #14085 - ECCS Owner
and
Dr. Victoria Sepulveda, Ph.D., LPC, NCC
Walden University Faculty Supervisor.
